"Spades in the Ground" Event

Tuesday April 18th was an historic day for Byrchall High School.

Together with staff, some special guests and several students we held our 'Spades in the Ground' event to celebrate work beginning on our new school.

Works have begun and our self-sustainable building is set to open in Autumn 2024. A huge thanks to all of our guests including Mayor of Wigan Borough, Councillor Marie Morgan, our Governors and the Trustees from Wigan Council, Department for Education and BAM Construct UK.

We will keep you up to date on all the progess of the new school via this website and our social media pages.

Below are some pictures of our event, together with some links to coverage of "Spades in the Ground in the press.
