Year 7 Catch Up Premium 2019/20

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2). Byrchall High School will receive £6,000 for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Identified Cohort

In English writing:

  • 31 pupils 'Working Towards Standard'

  • 16 pupils achieved less or had no result.

  • Total - 47

In English reading:

  • 42 pupils did not achieve the expected standard

  • 17 pupils did not have a result.

  • Total - 59

In Maths:

  • 34 pupils did not achieve the expected standard out of those who completed the SATs

  • 15 pupil did not have a result.

  • Total - 49
